As of November 1, Fit Brains has discontinued their partnership. As a result, members are no longer eligible for a discount from Fit Brains.

Phi Kappa Phi Installs Chapter 338 at Washington State University Tri-Cities

Phi Kappa Phi will install its 338th chapter at Washington State University Tri-Cities today, October 20.

The installation of the WSU Tri-Cities chapter comes after a thorough chartering process and approval from the Society’s board of directors. To be eligible, an institution must be a regionally accredited four-year college or university with an established reputation of excellence and an expressed commitment to upholding the values of the Society.

“Phi Kappa Phi is pleased to welcome Washington State University Tri-Cities to its growing community of scholars,” said Society Executive Director Dr. Mary Todd. “Its focus on the quality of the academic experience and hands-on, project-based instruction is evidence of WSU Tri-Cities’ commitment to academic excellence and the Phi Kappa Phi mission.”

Officers elected by the chartering group to serve the newly installed chapter include President Mark Mansperger, President-elect Katherine Banks, Secretary Darlene Scrivner, Treasurer Debbie Nogueras, Public Relations Officer Maegan Murray, and Awards & Grants Coordinator Christopher J. Cree.

Apply for a $10,000 Dissertation Fellowship

Phi Kappa Phi is now accepting applications for its Dissertation Fellowship program. Introduced in 2014, the program is designed to support doctoral candidates who are writing their dissertations.

Beginning this year, the program will award ten $10,000 Dissertation Fellowships. To be eligible, applicants must be an active Phi Kappa Phi member in the dissertation writing stage of doctoral study. Awards are for 12 months of dissertation writing. All pre-dissertation requirements should be met by the application deadline including approval of the dissertation proposal.

The deadline to apply is November 30 and recipients will be notified by February 1.
