Career Guidance Resources
While Phi Kappa Phi does not offer career services directly, we offer several career guidance resources to assist members. Visit the Seeking Success blog to find current and relevant information on everything from writing a winning résumé to creating an effective cover letter to posting the perfect LinkedIn profile photo.

The Seeking Success Podcast Series delivers current résumé, LinkedIn profile, and job interviewing advice in a quick format. You’ll hear advice from the team at Seeking Success, including the award-winning, nationally-recognized career expert Tamara Dowling.

Visit the Career Guidance Resources page to access more podcasts on interviewing skills, writing a winning résumé, networking, dealing with stress and more!

GS Level Upgrade for Federal Employment
Phi Kappa Phi members seeking federal employment may be eligible for a GS level upgrade according to the U.S. Office of Personnel Management’s General Schedule Qualification Policies. Section 4 reviews the Educational and Training Provisions or Requirements necessary to be eligible for the upgrade.

Keep in mind, this is not a Phi Kappa Phi managed benefit—it is a federal policy. Questions regarding specifics of the policy should be directed to the Human Resources department associated with the position being applied for.

Internship Opportunities
Phi Kappa Phi offers resources to assist members with finding the right internship, and our partners provide members the opportunity to apply for scholarships worth up to $2,500. These programs provide members with opportunities to explore career options while enhancing their leadership development potential. Visit PhiKappaPhi.org/Internship-Opportunities to learn more about the scholarship opportunities available.

The ΦΚΦ Internship Board connects students to the perfect internship opportunity. Students can visit the Internship Board to post résumés, search internships worldwide, and apply for internships. Click here to learn more and begin your search.

Membership Verification Letter

Merit
Merit provides members with a professional online profile that promotes member success and achievements. Members can customize their online profile with a photo, bio, activities, affiliations, work experience and more. Consider it a virtual résumé! These profiles can be beneficial when applying for an internship or job, and Merit provides a simple and easy way to share these accomplishments with your inner circle on Facebook and Twitter.

Best part? Your Merit page is created and updated automatically by Phi Kappa Phi including all your Society-related achievements. All you have to do is add any additional information such as work experience and other collegiate achievements that you want visible on your profile.

In addition to keeping your achievements and activities in one virtual place, Merit can build your online presence to help you secure jobs, get internships and collect references.

When a new member joins the Society (those initiated after March 2013), an “Initiate” badge and achievement will automatically be granted to those members who have opted in to the program. You will receive an email from news@phikappaphi.org providing instructions on how to claim your profile and share your Merit page on social networks. If you haven’t received a Merit profile and would like to get started, email news@phikappaphi.org with your name and member ID number.

Want more information? Click here to learn more about the Merit program and visit the Phi Kappa Phi Merit Page to see the latest member achievements.

Phi Kappa Phi Career Center
The ΦΚΦ Career Center connects job seekers to the perfect job opportunity and employers to the right candidates. Job seekers can access an advanced job search, customized job alerts, résumé upload, and an easy online application process. Employers can post jobs in the Career Center and gain access to highly qualified candidates, affordable posting and advertising packages, easy payment options, and a searchable résumé database.

Phi Kappa Phi Logo Graphics
